Junior League of Louisville announces it 2017-2018 Board of Directors and Executive Management Team

The Junior League of Louisville (JLL) announces its 2017-2018 Board of Directors and Executive Management Team. This team of women will lead an organization with 96 years of service to Louisville Community.

The Junior League of Louisville strives to make a difference in the community by promoting the potential of women through voluntarism and leadership development. The organization’s Board of Directors and Management Team is chosen from its membership of over 500 professional, compassionate women and will lead the organization for a twelve-month term beginning June 1.

As a group, the Board is responsible for governance and management of the organization, ensuring the League’s adherence to the Junior League mission, vision, and strategic plan as well as ensuring that the organization has adequate resources to fulfill its mission and goals and executes prudent financial oversight, ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place and that the League responsibly budgets, invests and uses the funds at its disposal.

As a group, the Executive Management Team focuses on strengthening the JLL’s impact through its day-to-day initiatives. It develops and executes programs and activities aligned with the strategic goals of the organization as set forth by the Board of Directors.

During the past year, JLL has invested over $55,000 and approximately 28,000 volunteer hours in the Louisville Community. The Junior League of Louisville is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
